I am using Saitek Rudder Pedals in FSX and I have an issue I don't know how to solve.  When I apply brakes the FSX displays "Differential Brakes" but when I release the brake pedals "Brakes" stays on the display and the aircraft continues to brake to a complete stop.  The only way I have been able to completely release braking is to set the park brake CNTRL + . and then release the park brake CNTRL + . again. 

What do I change in the setup to fix this?

There should be a setting in the control window, where you assign keys.  Check your Brakes(Apply/Release) assignment, and make sure the repeat slider is slid all the way to the right. Hope this helps.

Because the rudder pedals use an axis to control breaks the setting in the assign buttons won't solve the problem.

It has been a while since I did this, but I think you need to adjust the null zone just a bit.

I had this problem, and found I had to invert the control, ie, it was off when I pushed the pedal.

Both my Saitek and G940 pedals do this with brakes, sometimes.
I can recalibrate in the games settings, but found the easy way is to simply add a little dead zone to the brake axis. It doesn't take much and you probably won't even notice it when using them, even with tail draggers.

BINGO!! that's what I had to do as well.  I just couldn't remember.

Yeah.....I've tried to keep things simple and deleted all assignments for the rudder pedals except the rudder control axis and brake apply/release axis.

I'll experiment with the null zone first and report back!

Wouldn't this solution cause you to have to press the brake pedals the whole time you wanted to taxi free of braking?

On install they were set that way around, changed to reverse, and then they only work if you press them.

Must have something to do with living in WA.

I have the pedals and have given up trying to make the toe brakes work. Incredibly, Saitek USA tech assistance  people don't seem to know a helluva lot about how the pedals and other products work in flight sim. :::sigh:::

All you have to do under the axis assignments section for the pedals is press down on the brake that you want for that axis, then check the box for "reverse". I don't know why you have to do this, but they work just like real life now. Press the toes to activate the brakes, and release to deactivate.
I also have the sensitivity up, and the null zones at zero.

Very easy to set up, and fun to use. I'm not sure what is so difficult about this process.
