Views and the Top-Hat

Mapping the view out of the plane to my J/S: I know the "how," just need the "what."

With so many views available, I'm having difficulty finding that one view-setting that provides for using the top hat for a nice, controlled look u/d/l/r/back

Seems everything I try "snaps" to one or the other then back again. I realize it's one of the "pan" views, but looking for input on which pan setting .

Any ideas?

is what you are looking for, for the 2d cockpit, 3d Virtual, or for the Spot Plane (outside) view????

If your views / assignments are messed up, you can hit the RESET DEFAULTS which will put the correct views in the correct places as well as any other keyboard assignments back where they should be.  -- keep in mind that if you had made changes, like deleting certain keys, that they will be turned back on again, and you will have to go back through and change/delete them again.

Thanx Cap'n...

I guess I'm looking for ideas on what others use on both 2-D & 3-D. I use both a fair amount, but can't seem to get the setting right. I was just wondering if anyone knew right off the top of their head or had a good recomendation. I could reset everything but then I'd lose everything else I've changed.

There are so many different setting, it's tough to know which is the view I need (without trying each and every one).....
