FSX aircraft light problem

Greetings,

I am looking  for help.  I have a brand new computer running FSX and  Win7.  I recently purchased MegaSceneryX, Las Vegas, on a PCaviator special and installed it on my computer.  I tried night flying the  default 737 around Las Vegas and noticed a problem.

Prior to the install, I was able to control the exterior aircraft lights using the switches inside  the cockpit.  By this I mean that I could select a particular light switch then swith to a outside view and enjoy the effect.  After the install, I am unable to do this.  The cockpit switches do not turn on the lights when viewed from the  outside.  The only way to activate the lights is by using the assigned keyboard key.

So far I have  not been  able to find an answer.  When visiting the MegaScenery web site it states that  their scenery for FSX does not perform as good as the scenery for FS9.  I wish I would have know this and took a pass on the special.  Anyway, I sure would like to know the answer  to this one.

Thanks in advance,
