VC Merging

Hello,

I have recently been merging the defaults VC's with the Posky 737NG series and the Posky 747-400 v4 series. I have done the major stuff no Problems, texture... gauges, eyepoint ... all correct and done. But something I have noticed with both of the models is the inoperative VC cabin light which makes things far too hard to see at night, I have tried the 'L' Key and the switch in the cockpit, I have made sure they work on the default 747 and 737... and they do. Now the really strange thing is I have merged the Default CRJ 700 Cockpit with the Posky CRJ700 with the same process yet the cockpit light on that does work .?.?

Any Ideas How I could get the VC Cockpit light to work on the 737 and 747?

Thanks
Brett

The "VC Light" you are referring to is defined in the [LIGHTS] section of the aircraft.cfg file. You will need to copy/paste the entry from the default a/c's aircraft.cfg [LIGHTS] section.

I have just tried that and no change atall, Whether I have done what you said or reverted it back to the original it shows the light in the areas of the cockpit where there would usually be darkness e.g. There is light in the footwells and on the sides of the window frames yet the rest of the cockpit and gauges are dead dark. It is as if the light needs to be reversed.

Any Ideas?

In that case, you will need to edit the coordinates for the vclight.fx file.

For example, in the entry below the "light" is placed 47.6' in front of the center point of the aircraft model, on the center axis, and 3.00' above the centerline, which is approximately at the pilot's eye level and centered in the cockpit.

[code]light.7 = 4,
