Yes Paul It does do that in FSX, however even with the enviroment setting at ZERO ( 0 ) the sound is still coming through and overpowering all other sounds. It is like have two jet starter engines running full bore right by your ears. And is also overpowering the use of the radio/teamspeak function in it's volume. And I dearly like to remove it.
Thanks Myk

Paul That is what I would like to do but I do not know where to locate that particular sound file, I am not sure if it is the default scenery or the scenery from UK2000 that is causing the problem. All I do know is it is bloody annoying with it overpoweringness. Please help ta Myk

Sorry Paul it is not in any aircraft file that I know of, because it does not matter which aircraft I come in the ground enviroment sounds are still overpowering all else. It makes NO difference if it is a Heavy or GA, the sound is still overpowering.
Someone suggested I rename every sound file with .old but it would take EIGHT DAYST o accomplish this method ?. And it would still not accomplish what I would like to do with it. So please keep the other suggestions coming. Ta Myk

I suspect that Hagar will leap in here, and request a link to the Download so the he can try it in his standby FSX...

...!
He is good at that sort of thing...

....

...!
Paul....G-BPLF...FS 2004... 8-)...!
Loading up my FSX is far too stressful for me!...

...

...!
..is the Sound Folder located in the Scenery Folder for your new Bristol Scenery?
P.S...you could always move to Cardiff Airport....

....quieter there!...

....!

Having checked my scenery file for Bristol EGGD, both default and UK2000 and cannot find any reference to any sound or .wav file. I have used ADE to see if there is a sound file anywhere, and there is no sound file conected to any airport or at least none that ADE can see. It is still the same in UK2000 scenery and default, so somewhere within the FSXprogram there must be a reference to a .wav file conectted to Bristol EGGD, because it is the only airport that this problem exists. And I do ot wish to be flying into or outof Bristol with my sound turned off all the time.
I have tried to use my explorer to find any EGGD.wav file and it cannot, which is leading me to believe there must be a Reference cfg to it somewhere. BUT WHERE. Thanks Myk

At last we have found what is causing the overload of sound but not how to correct it. The setting in Display, of airport traffic density is causing the overload of sound. Do you know where to find the soudfile or sound .wav file for airport vehicle density is.. Please. Thanks Myk
