Since I had the Carenado 182, I downloaded the free HD Panel/Texture file for that plane from the ORBX site.

Just so you know, I have no clue what could be causing this... Do any of the other textures work? Could the texture.cfg be screwy? Just throwing out suggestions..

Just an idea...but I did have a few people that had the same type of problem with my Quickie. It was due to the 2048 x 2048 textures many of the parts used, and for assorted reasons some rigs won't show them. Resizing them to 1024 x 1024 fixed it.

The ORBX download said HD so that may have been part of it but the Auster - FSX only - seemed standard.

I just downloaded the Auster...the only files
not 2048 are the glass, prop, and pilot. I'd try resizing them

Or, do as the readme recommends, and change the line in your FSX.cfg

Which Auster is this? I'll check it out myself.

TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096
Believe it or not, the Readme I read mentioned only that, when unzipped, four folders within the single folder went into the root FSX folder - nothing about changing the FSX.cfg.

Which version of FSX have you got? RTM, SP1. SP2, Acceleration etc.
Mine is the standard version with SP1.

I've found that most (if not all) of the "negatives" I've ever read regarding SP2 are made by folks who quite frankly should not be allowed near a computer, or by folks who insist on being able to install incompatible FS9 a/c in FSX...
