I am new to FSX. I noticed that a feature I used in FS-9 is missing from FSX. In FS-9 you could change the windshield view by pressing shift enter, or shift  backspace to raise or lower the seat. Is it possible to do this in FSX? If so could you please enlighten me.

2D cockpit-The action is still there, just works a little different. Instead of 'jumping' up/down it's a slow 'scroll' action. Just hold the Shift + Enter/Backspace down.....Or Space + Left Mouse Button will jump to 'landing view'.

Also in 2D you can set panel transparency (Settings>Display>Aircraft tab or assign keys in Controls settings) to see 'thru' the panel.

3D cockpit-the keys and actions for moving eyepoint are the same as FS9.

In all views, Ctrl+Space will reset the view (FS9 was Space)

And for the virtual cockpit, you can also change the position of the view by editing the aircraft.cfg, where you'll find a parameter nammed "eyepoint=....".
In this way, you don't need to raise/lower your seat again everytime you press the "reset view" command.
