A couple of questions: sound assignment and tower focus

Yo folks - I've a couple of quick questions regarding...er...I think I just said that.

;)

Anyhoo; I've been tweaking Wolfgang Piper's lovely Schweizer 2-33 training glider - Rotty made me homesick - to as close as possible to the real thing. One thing lacks though; and that's the 4-stage trim lever. I'm fairly familiar with adjusting sound files and I'd like to add in the trim lever's somewhat distinctive Gloingggg....clok! sound. The problem is, I don't know how - the trim function is infinitely variable and doesn't have a native sound. It would be easy if it was - say - flaps' with a set number of positions. So the question is first; does anyone know how to properly name the trim variable in the sound.cfg, and if some way needs to be found to add intervals to the trim function in order to create proper sound for it?

Second question is unrelated; but still focusing on gliders. That's the trouble - I'd like to focus on something beside the gliders. See; I'm doing up a towplane tute - just for fun; it won't be much use to FSXers - and I'd love to focus the Tower viewpoint on the glider's towplane as it zips by the viewer. There doesn't seem to be a way to do it; even with Recorder. I'm sure there are apps that can do this so if anyone has any ideas; I'd be grateful. :)

Thanks!
