Sdk installation causes instrument font change?

Hello all,
Just installed SDK and its two service packs sp1a and sp2.
I had been using FSX for a long time without the SDK.
But it seems that it caused the fonts in the cockpit instruments to change, the speed, altitude and other read outs. It made them much smaller and some of them without any meaning.
I am using primarily the PMDG MD-11 and Leonardo's Maddog. To both of them it created this problem.
Help appreciated.
Thanks,
Christos

Hello Christos, if you are referring to the cockpit "tooltips" when you place the mouse over each instrument, then this is a well-known problem after installing FSX SP2. Did you install FSX SP2 at the same time as the SDK SP2 ? It mostly affects aircraft "ported over" from FS9 or aircraft created from an earlier service pack.

The effects can be variable though, in some aircraft the tooltips work, in others they don't. One workaround is to go into the 2D cockpit where the tooltips are sometimes still legible. The only sure-fire method to get your tooltips back in to revert to FSX SP1
