Downloading Textures Problem!

I went to download the Air Force 1 textures for the 747, and I did the normal thing Right click> Extract all... Then when I was coping the writing stuff, and I save it the problems start. OK, then I run FSX to see how it is and the ENTIRE 747 is gone! Even the default stuff!
1 How do I get the default plane back?
2 How do I get the AF textures?

Do a search to see if you can find it, other than that, you might have to do a repair to FSX to get your default 747 back.

It might be a bit late now but always take a backup copy of files you intend editing - before editing them.

Well, I got rid of the text that I put into the cfg folder, and the default plane is fine.

Double check the text you are adding.  I'm guessing that it's only the [fltsim.X] entry, and if it's like a typical add-on entry, you should only have to change the "X" to the next number in sequence.  Also, make sure you're adding the new [fltsim.X] after the last [fltsim.X], and not adding it to the top of the list.   I'm guessing that if your [fltsim.X] starts with something other than [fltsim.0], the cfg will not work, and you won't see your aircraft.
