I am in the process of trying to narrow down a problem that cropped up suddenly as a result of some recent installations.

Look elsewhere, its not GEX

GEX is textures and autogen files, all verifed using SDK tools and will not crash a system

this is from a moderator over at Surclaro.com:

OK, End result was the addition of add0n scenery that got corrupted, as well as the use of rendering with the 3 memory sticks.

Deletion, and redownloading the addon scenery, took care of the problem.
