CAN`T START FSX

I have very often run FSX acceleration SP2 in my PC without problems;however, for some reason, now I can`t.
The application can no start and goes into "application not responding" status whilst showing the blue screen with the name "Microsoft Flight Simulation X".
I have tried launching the application as sys administrator and it does the same.
Does anyone know how can I fix this?

It might be a problem with your logbook.
When the logbook gets corrupted, it prevents FSX to load.
Make a search on the forum with "logbook", you will find a lot of topics speaking about it, and explaining how to fix the error, using a Logbook editor.

I ran the flight logboook stand alone external editor mentioned above. I deleted a few flights to see itf it helped. I deleted the last one, and any flight that did not have a departure or that did not have an arrival airport. saved it, tried agaon FSX and did not help.
