what is the difference????

what is the difference between UTX and GEX? and are they used seperately or can they be used together?

I can answer part of your question. I have both and they go tegether very well. GEX is not hard on the frame rates, while UTX has a variable system hit, depending on how many things you have activated at the time. I once read that it is best to load one before the other. I swear by GEX, but on my system I can't use a lot of UTX features without paying in performance. Both are excellent programs. GEX kind of stays on FSX and has no on and off feature while UTX has variable usage.  :)

GEX replaces the ground textures, while UTX replaces/enhances the landclass which is basically where roads, railways, towns, cities, buildings, ect are displayed
