can't see runways after installing SP1...

so after using FSX for a while, I downloaded and installed SP1.  After doing so, I can't see the runways.  Now, when I am directly on top of the runway, I can very faintly see the white markings on the runway, but it is VERY FAINT.  Almost like FSX is rendering the runway, but is putting terrain over it.  There are some airports (KORD) where I can see the runway, but then I'll fly to an airport right next to it (KMDW) and I can't see any runways.

I did a fresh, clean install of FSX before installing SP1, did that twice, and still same problem.

As for my system, it's a Pentium D 3.4 Ghz, 2 GB ram, and onboard Intel graphics.  I know the intel graphics suck, but the MB has no AGP or PCiE slots, and I'm not gonna buy a new MB and graphics card just to run FSX.  I'm using FSX just to get current in flying again, so great graphics aren't a priority. Just seeing the runway is kinda important :P

I could just not install SP1, but I heard SP1 fixes a lot of issues, and also uses both cores of my machine, so I want to use it if possible.  Thanks.

Install SP2, and that should solve your problem.

Onboard graphics card is the problem

After SP1 you must be on a true HARDWARE DX9 card

Those older onboard graphics cards use a SOFTWARE hack of DX9 and therefore are NOT fully DX9 compliant

so you need a video card

Thanks for the replies.

Sux that SP1 won't let me use the intel GMA950 onboard graphics.  I thought both the GMA900 and GMA950 were designed to work with DX9 apps...
