Or does the default Jetranger sound somewhat piston engined and not very realistic?

Don't know-- never fooled around with it. I dislike the "buzzy" sound of the Lear jet in FS2004, but that's another forum. I always drop the original sound file in most jets and use the one from the 737-800. Just sounds better...
I am homebrewer. I had 633 posts when for some unknown reason, my account disappeared...

Hmmm I don't think so.
The default Robinson sounds like a piston engine... because it IS a piston engine. But the Bell has a normal helo sound...
