Mesh & stuff ??

OK i am totally new to all of this. I have just downloaded the Mexico terrain mesh program and he said to come here and download mesh. Ok:
Aloha,
what is mesh?
why do i need it?
I am looking to fly mexico but couldnt find any scenery packs, anyone knowing of anything mexico free or pay please let me know.
Please, i need answers to this mesh thing.

Hello and welcome to Simviation. Mesh gives you better ground heights (mountains and valleys). You don't need it to run FlightSimulator but it makes it look better in my opinion.

Sceneries for Mexico can be found at most flightsim websites. Search Simviation's library or if you can't find any use this great website: http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.php
