CTD or not CTD Fixed.

Although I had 151 views to my post, I had only one response. Over time, however, I was able to fix the problem and thought posting that fix may help others. I learned from other posts how to delete my FSX.CFG and text file from my Documents and Settings, etc. file, restart FSX and allow it to rebuild those files. As FSX was loading, it would ask me if I wanted Acceleration to set my assignments(I do have Acceleration),I clicked "yes", and it asked me if I wanted to load the newest FSUIPC,to which I also clicked "yes". The fatal error message continued to occur. The most recent time, however, I just took a chance and clicked "no" to loading the most recent FSUIPC. Amazingly, no more fatal error message and all is well. I am not savvy enough to know why this fixed the problem, but I'll take the end result. Hope this is helpful to someone else. I do wonder, however, even though FSX seems to be running fine, do I need to find a way to run FSUIPC without causing the fatal error message?

If you are curious you could try posting the problem over on the FSUIPC support forum and see what Pete has to say.
