Transparent Textures

Some of the payware & freeware aircraft I have downloaded have transparent textures (I can only see internal parts of the plane).

Um yeah there is an option to disable DX10 preview in FSX. Go to the settings and click the customize button. On the General tab there you will see a check box saying Direct X 10 Preview or something to that effect and then restart the sim and now we have a happy flier

Thanks for the reply but actually no - i don't have the DX10 preview..hence the reason for my post.

You say you have FSX Gold which includes Acceleration. If you installed Acceleration it should give you the DirectX 10 Preview option - providing your video card can handle it.
