fsx crosswind performance

Hi there,
When setting up FSX for max cross wind landings, I notice that the cross wind doesnt stay in all the way to touchdown but seems to come off at about 200ft on the approach so that touchdown occurs in almost zero wind. Can any one help with keeping the crosswind in all the way to zero ft.
Thanks very much

You have to set the weather so it is at below 200ft otherwise it will only be at and above the altitude you set it up on the advanced weather options.

But even then FSX still doesn't 'truly' simulate cross wind but it gets pretty close! :)

Thanks very much, tried that already but I understand that there are some limitations to a realistic crosswind

If you havnt already done so get FSUIPC, it helps with wind smoothing, and can also add some turbulence. also another good prg is CUMULUSX it adds more realistic thermas and ridgelift for gliders but these also affect planes. FSUIPC is payware if you want th eexra features, but very useful, cumulus x is freeware,
