Handling Landing Gear Failure...

Appears I was a tad to fast to extend my gear.  Ctrl+G isn't working nor is just 'G'.

Can I try anything else before giving in to a belly landing?

This might hurt my FSPass score a bit! :'(

without knowing what kind of a plane you're flying ,here some advise. most of airplanes have a lever in the virtual cockpit that should do the job. look around find the lever and use it.but i seem to remember in some ww2 airplanes you have to use a manual release landgear,so it all come to this, before taking off take some time to study your plane.

That "lever" in the cockpit is the Ctrl+G rmacttu is talking about. Its just the shortcut for emergency gear.

If I read it right your using FS passengers correct? Well if so and you tried to extend your gear at too high of a speed.. well their stuck for good. Better brief the passengers and prepare for a belly landing.  ;)

How do you belly land in FSX??? If i belly land it just says crashed.... i don't actually slide

If i turn crash of the gear pops out for some reason if i belly-land, trying to do it for a screenshot

Is this true that you can't belly land in FSX? I also use FSPassengers, great addon, and I had a lot of successful belly landings in FS9... I'm on FSX for about two months now and I had a few engine faliures but no gear faliures.
I was wondering about operating gears manualy in FS9 but nothing worked (g, ctrl+g).. if they didn't go down, they won't go down at all... in my case.

I haven't done a belly landing with FSpassengers X but I think they change something about the planes crash points to make it so you can land. I know they did for FS9 so I dont see why not in FSX..

But default FSX you generally aren't able to make a belly landing.

You can do belly landings in FSX w/ FSPass installed.  I'm unsure if its a feature included with FSPass(X) or not though.  I believe you have to un-tick one of the collision settings to get it to work.

On that particular flight I was in PMDG's B1900(great addon so far BTW) but, when I went for the belly landing, all hell broke loose on FSX as my aircraft was allowed to slip "under" the surface texture and just bounce around everywhere with no ability to stop it.
