hi

I reinstalled fsx on my PC today and I have no anti aliasing. I have installed nhancer and made sure that enhanced is not on and created a new profile for it. I have turned it off ingame and put it on with the drivers and vice versa and I still cannot get it.

I have a nvidia 9800gtx+ 512mb at 1680 x 1050 resolution.

Does anyone have any ideas?

thanks

Also sorry to be a pain but I have read that NickN's instructions can make FSX run better? Please can someone locate me to this thread?

thanks again

Thank you very much.

Both links were helpful, I followed the second link exactly the same and there is a difference. I can get anti aliasing now but only when ticked within FSX, when I untick it it is jaggy. Does anyone know why?

I am running Vista 32bit.

Cheers

Are you using nHancer? If so, it only works  on full screen.

Are you running FSX on full screen mode or windowed?

Check your graphic driver version .... the latest isn't necessarily the best according to Nick, and according to my experience he's right. Nick mentions which ones to use .....

I am using it in full screen mode and I very recently updated to the most recent drivers. I will look and see what Nick says which to downgrade to.

Cheers for both your help

Yea. The new drivers don't work with the latest nhnacer version, unless you get the beta of the new nhancer coming soon. That's actually what I'm on right now.

I have nHancer 2.5.3 Beta 2.

Its weird because my AA only works when in the sim, not when it is unticked.

I had this happen but with FS2004, FSX wasn't a problem...anyway, with nhancer open, click on the third tab in the main window (e.g., Enhancements/Optimizations/Compatibility), and then check the option "Anti Aliasing Compatibility". Of course the AA setting has to be also set under the Enhancements tab. Might or might not be of help, but it allowed me to finally uncheck the AA in-game for good. (Using version 2.4.2.2)

247hammond,

Do you have dx10 preview in the FSX settings selected?
