Kicking the shimmers?

Alright so in FS9 when you have an ATI card you lower the MIP bias to 4 or something like that but in FSX there isn't a setting like that. What do i need to set or un-set to get rid of the tree/taxiway shimmer?

Edit: forgot to mention system specs :D
AMD Phenom II 955 BE @ 3.4GHz
ATI HD4890 1GB
8GB DDR3 1600 @ 1333MHz

In you fsx.cfg

under [Display] you may or maynot have this line (remember this is what I have got it set too)

MipBias=6

if you don't have this line just add it.

ah ha. I figured there was something that needed adding to the cfg ;D

should a moderator pop in here why am i a 'God Member'?
