FSX is a Piece of !@#$

And quite frankly, I'm tired of it! I've done countless reinstalls because something gets mucked up eventually, I've spent hundreds of hours downloading and install add-on aircraft that end up not working right, and I'm tired of the countless number of bugs and errors I've encountered. I quit, I'm done with FSX, it's a piece of crap game. I've tried to go back and get it to work right through the years, through two systems and in the end something always ended up messed up. I'M TIRED OF IT, SCREW YOU FSX. >:(

maybe if you had the right hardware, installed the right addons, set up FSX and the OS correctly, and used the right tweaks, it would run fine.

Sorry to hear that your having a bad experience, I was pretty pissed off too when I got FSX and couldn't get it to work out of the box, especially after using FS9 for 2 1/2 years. As of right now I'm only able to use FSX sp1 ( got Accel on the sideline for when I get a better PC ), but because of this website, I was able to learn how to get my system to run FSX, ( special THANKS to NickN and every one else on this site for the tips and the knowhow ) and now I really enjoy it cause it runs so smooth.

I hope now I didn't jinx myself ;D ;D

I've had WAY less problems with FSX, than I did with FS9

:) The frustration in your post is something many of us have gone through. But the bottom line, still remains the same. We cannot hook a rabbit to an oxcart and expect to profit. Patience!  :)

All I can say is, "You're doing it wrong!" Its not a piece of ______. Let me put it this way, my computer is a dinosaur with a cheap graphics card and 1 gig of memory, yet it runs, and runs quite well with the help of Nick N's instructions.
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I've found that most, if not all, issues I've had with FSX were due to hardware not up to snuff, and I was pushing the limits, or self inflicted, like pushing an FS9 or earlier add-on into FSX.  Any problems caused by that is not a fault of FSX.

Besides, I work on a real simulator, and even it has a few minor bugs in it and our software engineers are constantly tweaking it.

My frustrations mainly focus on getting add-on planes to work correctly. I just hate it when they say FSX SP2 ready with FSX VC and when you install it, it ends up broken. Otherwise, for the most part, FSX works fine.

I just did a flight from KMIA to MKJP in the stock 737-800 in AA colors with REX, worked just fine, as it usually does for such flights, it's just the damn add-on aircraft.

Ok so now the truth comes out..

in reference to my sig, that would mean the problem falls under,,,,.... YOU

If you are downloading freeware, you get what you pay for

It this is payware aircraft get your money back and realize if they said it was SP2 compliant they dont know what they are talking about

learn which freeware/payware developers understand the RIGHT way to make a SP2 aircraft/addons

Otherwise get over it and realize Aces had to break some things to make DX10 work.. even if I dont completely agree with what was done and why, its just the way it is. Only install verified SP2 certified products
