I do a similar thing as Brett suggested.
My technique for very short field take-offs is as follows...
Start right at the start of the runway, (or even further back if possible!)...
Trim the Aircraft for slight nose-up. (Make sure the Auto-pilot is switched off!)
Hold the brakes fully on.
SLOWLY rev the engine up to maximum revs. (To protect the engine).
Release the brakes.
Accelerate.
Partway down the runway, quickly apply one stage of flaps, followed by slight back pressure to the Yoke/Joystick...
(This will often catapult the aircraft off the runway!).
As soon as the aircraft is safely climbing, quickly retract the Flaps, (to reduce drag), and keep a wary eye on the Airspeed and Altimeter, to ensure a positive rate of climb.
I personally delay deploying the Flaps to reduce the initial drag when accelerating down the runway...

...!
I regularly practice it, and it seems to work very effectively in clearing obstacles at the end of the runway!...
