1. FSX does not need the CD / "DVD" to run. you no longer run it from the disk drive like you had to do for FS2004.  It runs from the FSX.EXE icon on your desktop or other location of your choosing (mine is a shortcut from my E:/Microsoft Games/Flight Simulator X ..... that i have INSIDE a folder called "COMPUTER GAMES" on the desktop)

2. is this DELL XPS the ** ONLY ** computer that you have tried to install FSX on??? If you have tried installing it on 2 other computers, FSX is already maxed out on how many times it can be installed and registered.  It can only be registered to 2 computers at a time.  You would have to contact Microsoft and tell them your situation and they will release your registrations and give you a new code.

3.  do you get any error messages when you try to run it??

  Ah!  That might explain it then.  Didn't know you didn't need the disc in the drive anymore.   However, it didn't put an icon on the desktop for the game, and I don't remember it specifying what folder it installed it to.  I did do a search in an attempt to find it, but no luck.

   And, yes, it is the only computer I've installed it on.  I bought this computer strictly for gaming only.

  I'll take a look at it again when I get home from work today.

    Got her fixed.  Just not used to Vista, apparently.

i had the identicall problem, could u please tell me what u did to make your game work.

you can install fsx on as many computers as you want not sure what you are talking about there, i have it on 5 different computers here.
