Does anyone know how to install extra fuel tanks in this aircraft to increase range of flight to about 1000miles.  And to Arlot, this is a very nice aircraft, Thank You    Myk

Find a good tailwind @ 10,000msl ... run extra-lean and pull the prop-rpm back until the engines start moaning..

:D

Seriously though.. a loaded C310 isn't good for flights much longer than 700nm between fuel stops..

You can go into the aircraft.cfg file and increase the tank capacities (the FAA won't like that much).. might as well boost prop-thrust too, so you can cover those 1000nm at 300knots

Can we duct tape JATO units to the aircraft to increase speed...? ;D

Hello Brett, I am sorry if you think I am messing around with your BABY. But I have asked the question in relation to an idea that has been proposed from the Bristolflightsim group, for a round the world flight. Following the rules set by the FIA, I would have a couple of long legs, so fuel endurance would need to be increased for around 960nm per leg. So yes an inboard tank was what I had in mind, so as not to upset the flight characteristics. To which I personally find a dream to fly.
And as for using unlimited fuel option (shame on anybody for suggesting such a thing ) ;). I mean, they would suggest a never tiring pilot next. ;D
And I definitely think ALEX has gone fully overboard with his option, how is anyone going to get th undercart down without rupturing those tanks and becoming a fourth of july firework  :o.
So if you could please help with how I put an extra inboard tank and controls into config, I would be very grateful. Many thanks MYK

Thank you Brett and Alejandro for taking the time and trouble to make this very fine aircraft and all that it entailed. I hope I can do it justice in this forth coming venture of our upcoming flight around the world. Can I also say thank you for the info for the internal tanks to extend the range without spoiling the exterior of this fine aircraft. And Brett I PROMISE not to bend her in anyway

You're more than welcome... aside from making airplanes that I want..  that fact that others enjoy them is what it's all about..

Now...   NO SMOKING   in that now, fuel saturated cabin  LOL  :D

Good luck on the  trek.. keep us posted  :)

All of the models through the K had only the tip tanks.
