Yes.  I think you put the approach hold on once you are established on the glideslope.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi there, the plane wont completly land itself, if you want to learn how to do an ILS landing, go here this is probably the best video tutorial i have seen for learning how to do an ils landing and approach, once you get on this page go down a little on the page and it will say for smaller version 720X480 click here you can download it and save to your desktop and practice with it,   http://www.flightsimulatorguide.com/vid ... hp?file=13

Good luck regards,Tom

If you want to watch the aircraft land by itself, there are plenty of flight deck videos that you can watch instead.... ;D

I'm pretty sure the advice is to switch the Autopilot OFF prior to landing, and land the aircraft manually, with full Pilot control...(He/She has a feel for any rapidly changing conditions, requiring correction!).

...which is what I ALWAYS do!...;)...!

I remember these questions not that long ago and they always came up and Andrew is always the one to add the funny quotes to these. ;D 8-)

What can I say....? ;D

People go out and spend their cash on a flight simulator. Once in the cockpit, they taxi to the runway, take off, and engage autopilot/GPS. The aircraft flies and navigates by itself, and then they want the aircraft to land by itself before manually taxiing to the gate? Where is the fun in having everything automated so you do very little?

Flying cigar tubes is already boring, but why make it even more boring and pointless...? ;D

If someone doesn't want to fly at all, they may as well watch cockpit videos instead.

i have Never tried to land with autopilot but I know how to land a plane with autopilot. Just get lined up set auto brake to max and set autospoliers to ON and just keep setting the auto pilot to go lower by 100ft every 25 seconds and then when your 50 away from the runway. Slow the auto throttle to zero and put it down it should work im not saying it will

That would be an awfully shallow approach..
