Dual monitors question

I am running on two 1920x1080 monitors, and when I go to fly the VC shows on the left monitor and I stick my 2D panels on the right monitor so im free to look around while flying. The problem is that FSX defaults the right monitor, which is blank until I drag 2D views onto it, to a low 800x600ish resolution, so I can barely fit more than two panels in it. Does anybody know how to bring the second monitor up to 1920x1080 without extending the VC view to it?

Make sure that on Control Panel (under the display devices) it has both monitors at the right resolution.
Then in the game, go to display settings. Where you select the resolution you may also have to select the display device, it may be something like:
nVidia 8600GTS 0
nVidia 8600GTS 1
The 0 is the first, primary, monitor. The 1 is the secondary monitor. Make sure that you select both of them and set up the display settings for each monitor.
So through control panel set the right resolution per screen.
In FSX select each monitor and give them both the right resolution.
