It's Alejandro's latest release, and it's mentioned in the readme.

Without going into a long explanation..it's a compromise, that I felt was better than compromising other aspects (namely attitude at cruise.. attitude/handling during approach.. and overall climb/cruise performance).

The CitationX is a tough beast to model, aeordynamically. Nothing quite like it in the weight/thrust/CG arena. The only way (that I could find) to avoid this.. would be to ignore it's unique geometry (and performance envelope), and just give it a juiced up Lear45 set of flight-dynamics... That was unacceptable.

I admit to not using it in that way but I think I would prefer a trade off in height performance for landing performance.

Red on White you're alright.

Red on Red you'll soon be dead.

Performance is just the begining.. the attitude complicates it. It's a CG thing. Seeing over the nose at cruise isn't a major issue.. but having absolutely no view of the runway on approach, is a problem.

The MSFS flight model has too many holes in it. Once you get too far away from a small, single-engine prop plane, with a "normal" CG, it falls apart in a hurry.

When I design a set of flight-dynamics.. I start with ACTUAL geometry, and REAL weights. For my Cardinal, it was almost too easy..

, plane is invisible----

Do you want me to make it in Braille for Blind people?

This is an advanced, SP2 model, with hi-resolution textures. FSX must be upgraded to SP2, and you must be using a high-end video-card. If you are having visibility and rendering issues, those would be the causes.

>:(  JEEEEZZ Guys!  It's a flight SIMULATOR, not a real airplane.  And I suspect if you were in the real thing the instructor was recommend you train an additional 10 hours until you get it down!  It's a absolutely beautiful plane ... everything works (for me),  it's smooth, the sounds are fantastic, and it takes some planning and talent to put it down properly. I appreciate the work and generosity it took to bring it to us ... and free I might add!  And did I mention FREE??   ;D ;D

Alejandro,

part of the job as "aircraft modeler" is learning how to accept criticism, and realize that not everyone is going to read the help files thoroughly and will still have questions.

if you see something that angers you, just take a break and come back to answer it later when you can do so more calmly.

you're not going to please everyone.

don't retaliate and get nasty like those guys on the posky team do in their forums when someone dares questions one of their designs.

not everyone understands completely how a lot of things in the sim work.

99% of us are grateful for what you do, on how you benefit the FS community. It is only a small fraction of us, who are picky; and start complaining when they can't work something out; or realize what they should do.
