Hi,
I am having problems with the default Boeing 747-400 in FSX. The sound problem is that I can still hear engine noise even when i have shut the engines down. This problem happens as soon as I change views from cockpit or resume from pause. also I have noticed that when I shut the engines down the engine turbines still spin is there any way to sort this out.

I think this is an apu sound as it is not heard in most light aircraft. And you are right, there is a bug there as I have noticed as it changes volume when you go to the cockpit then back to exterior view. It is just one of the mysterious bugs with fsx, hopefully with fsx's long life still ahead of it (considering the state of microsoft and what they plan to do with the next flight sim) there will be someone which can come up with a solution for it ;) thats what these forums are here for. ;)

I also would like to know the cause for this bug. In Win XP I didn't suffer this problem so much. I'm now having this probem in Vista, using in both systems an X-Fi card. The only rude workaround I'm using is resetting the sound system by pressing Q to turn off the sound and pressing Q again, and the engine sound goes away when the aircraft has been shut down.
FYI: This bug mostly happens with aircraft with multiple engines and sound configs designed for less engines, like the 747 using the 737 sound config.
