Is there a trick to getting some gas or do the fuel trucks always sit 60 feet from your plane for 45 mnts or so?

I got tired of that nonsense too, so I just do it from the menu that pops up when you hit the 'alt' key.

I don't know if FSX is different to FS 2004...

But in FS 2004, when you pull up close to the Fuel Pumps, etc...and shut the Aircraft down completely!, the fuel is delivered automatically to the Aircraft's Fuel Tanks..;)...!

That might be it. I killed the engines but left all the instruments on. Thanks Fozzer.

On my FS2004, all I have to do is come to a stop in the fuel box.  I can even leave the engines running, doesn't that break some regs.  I FSX, I just avoid the whole fuel truck deal.

There's no trick to it. All you have to do is be in a parking spot and then press shift+f to request a fuel truck. You will get a confirmation in the green scroll on top of your screen that will tell you the truck is in route and what # you are in line. When the truck arrives wait a few seconds and the Fuel & Payload window will pop-up, which I like because you can put the amount of fuel you want, instead of getting filled to the brim like when you pull up to a fuel pump.

Yes but the problem is (I have it too) after you request the truck it will drive up to you but pause about 100 ft away, then every couple minutes or so it will lurch forward 10 ft then stop again.

Thats pretty much what happened. The green scroll appeared and the truck zoomed by me to the other side of the airport so I pushed Shift-f again--it said I was #2-- it went right to a Cessna than came to me but stopped far far away.

I know there is an "auto refuel" option if you are flying and almost dry but that seems kind of cheap. :-?

I never had that problem and it's been a while since I called for fuel, so I did a check and your right, something is not right.
I know for sure you have to be in a parking spot ( ramp or gate), and you have to pull in untill the ATC window changes back to take-off options.

If you are at a busy airport, it would take awhile for the fuel truck to show up.

Other than that, the truck always showed up and never parked really close, but once it showed up and stopped, the fuel & payload window popped-up in afew seconds.

Now, I can't get the fuel truck to show up when I am parked on the ramp, and when I am at the gate it shows up but does the lurching thing.

I'm wondering if it got some thing to do with that Slow_Vehicles_Tweak,
or AI traffic that I've added?
If I figure it out, I'll let ya's know.
