Pilot Records not recording flights

Hey guys, long time lurker, new poster.  I have ran into a problem since I installed FSX Gold Edition on my PC.  Pilot records doesn't record any flights.  It shows I have no hours, and the list is blank.  Any ideas what could be causing this, or how to fix it?  Thanks a bunch!

This is a common FSX problem. Im pretty sure there have been programs people list on here on how they fix it but the most common response I hear is just to record it yourself.
