im new to downloading planes and was just wondering what a few good planes are to download. i downloaded a BAE hawk and it didnt have any sounds im open to all suggestions(any type of plane even heli's).

i like FAST and AEROBATIC planes too...

I really like the T-28 on this page.

Now it isn't fast and while it is aerobatic, it's not a light unlimited aerobatic plane by no means, lol.

It is a real pleasure to fly, has nice sounds and a good VC.

I was thinking there was a Pitts S1S (or maybe S1T) for FSX that was pretty nice. I didn't see it in a quick search though, so maybe it was fFS9 (?).

yeah that looks like a good one all download it.

also on the subject of downloading, i recently downloaded one of the many BAE hawks and when i fly it theirs no sound. did i forget to load something when i did all the folder/file moving/transferring?

I guess it really depends on what you enjoy flying. I like the B727 for some reason or the other and use the one from HJG (Historic Jetliners Group). It is freeware and the panel they have for it is great, plus the fact that it flies very well indeed.

So, figure out what you like, and someone in this group can answer your question very well.

THe 2 planes I am going to list very well could have been payware... but lucky for all of us, they arent!

I'll second the suggestion of that Roy Chaffin B-25 mentioned above...very high quality, even better than several payware planes I've seen.  good stuff!

I happened to run across the Pitts Special I was thinking of. It is the S-2S, not S-1. Anyway, it's a nice model and great for aerobatics.

I'm downloading it again now to reinstall.

Its slim pickings for FSX/SP2, but there are a few gems that should be in everyone's hangar...

I highly recommend Alrot and Brett Henderson's aircraft models.... 8-)

Milton Shupe's Spartan Executive was recompiled for FSX/SP2, and is fun to fly.

Tim Conrad's GRUMMAN AMERICAN AA-5B TIGER is a fun little aircraft.

Dino Cattaneo's Boeing/BAE T-45C Goshawk is an excellent model
