Texture Problem

Postby pilotguy191 » Tue May 05, 2009 10:16 pm

Hey Guys,
For some reason whenever i add a new plane, no matter what the textures do not show whether the plane was made for FSX or not they never show.  It is really annoying to fly a blank plane haha

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Firstly make sure the addons are installed to simobjects\airplanes, secondly make sure each texture for the ac has a thumbnail.jpg in its folder.

If that is all true then I'd look at your fsx graphics settings. Try turning them up a tad, global texture setting should be fully to the right. Is it just ac textures that are faulty or is the general appearance bad too?

Hope it helps, the more info you can give us the better we can help. What graphics card to you have?

!!!This is only if you have Service Pack 2 for Flight Simulator X Installed!!!

Maybe you have your DX10 preview on? 'Cause there is a lot of aircraft made for FSX that have textures that doesen't work in DX10. Try checking it in your Settings>Customize>"Preview DirectX10". If it is checked, most aircraft textures won't work. Make sure you uncheck it.
