Advice on Addons

Hey guys.

I am compiling a list of addons that I want to use like REX/FEX, Ultimate Terrain-X, Active Sky..etc for when I upgrade my computer, but which of these will interfere with each other?

For example, does getting REX which enhances sky effects interfere with Active Sky?

Also, is it better to download individual terrain meshes and sceneries from simviation or avism or is it better to buy mesh programs like Ultimate Terrain X? Or is it better to just use TileProxy (with huge sacrifice on quality at low altitudes)?

Other than graphic quality, accuracy of terrain is extremely important to me.

(I expect no less than satellite/Google Earth accuracy).

So your looking for global real world textures?

Well, your not going to find that.

I don't use any third party addons for terrain but I don't think any of them provide global real world textures. Besides, have you looked at google earth? its VERY patchy and major parts of the world are very low resolution.

The way I understand FS is a type of terrain is generated depending on the area your in. Then a default texture is placed there. You may find that same texture is thousands of other places as well. Its made to reduce the amount of files required for generating the world.

If you were to have global real world textures your scenery texture folder would be absolutely MASSIVE and FS would run very slow.

The scenery packs really just update the default FS textures and Autogen to make it look better, not real world.
