I have downloaded all the parts from the posky website for their boeing 777 with VC, all well except for the fact most of the main displays in the VC seem to be flickering and flashing when all vc lights are on and when all vc lights are off there is nothing at all displayed on any of the displays other than some dirty finger prints etc., any idea's on making these gauges working normally?
Running vista 32 bit with fsx + Accel on DX9

Not sure about Vista as I'm running XP 32bit. But heres some stuff to try.
remove the pky_glassdirt entry. You dont have to remove it from the panel.cfg.... just put "//" in front of it. The entry should look like this.
[Vcockpit03]
file=$vc_03.bmp
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$vc_03
//gauge00=Pky_glassdirt!Pky_glassdirt,

It has got rid of the flickering on the gauges. as one problem is solved, another crops up... I have got a friend who also wants to fly this plane. although he is having trouble with all the gauges in VC and 2d are not showing up atall (although the pfd and mfd and eicas screens in VC are working). I noticed that this panel uses the old ' boeing777-300.gau ' from the default fs2004 boeing 777 so I sent that file to him and made him place it firstly into his main gauges folder and then into his panel folder within the posky 777 aircraft and still non of the gauges worked. my friend has exactly the same setup with Microsoft Flight Simulator X +Accel in DX9 mode on a Vista 32bit computer. Any Ideas???

Well with the new XML gauges by Posky... they are intended strictly for the VC, so you will not have those working in the 2d panel. But with a VC so well done... why would you ever NOT use it? :)
If you can, have him take a screenshot of his problem and post it here. A lot of times its much easier to see the problem.

will do, Ill post it up here in 15mins or so as I have just asked him to do it just now

but from what I hear its only the gauges which relate to the boeing777-300 file
We both also have the xml gauges addon from posky too

Look in your FSX root directory folder for a module named msvcr70.dll. You might need it for some FS9 default gauges to display properly. A quick search on Google should find it for download.
EDIT. posted this just as you posted about it too. Cool, glad it all works now!

just for fine tuning... all gauges work, but one thing me and him have noticed is the filickering of the mouse from hand to arrow when hovering over that autopilot switch's
