downloaded planes wont show up.

I'm new to this and i've downloaded a couple planes and added them where they should be. (i used the help page) I ran FSX and went to try the plane out, but it wasn't there. So i checked the UI things and all those where good. If it helps solve the problem, im running it on vista

I deleted one so now i only have the Piaggio PD-808

Make sure you have the Piaggio PD-808 base package posted here. http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?type=item&ID=64&page=17

When you extract the downloaded zipfile you should see two folders named Effects & SimObjects. The SimObjects folder contains a sub-folder named Airplanes containing two further folders named PD808_shared & PD808RM. To install the aircraft paste both these folders into your FSX\SimObjects\airplanes folder.

To complete the installation paste the contents of the Effects folder into FSX\Effects.

You may be having the same difficulty I was having with some add-on aircraft, if I'm getting the gist of what you're asking-----look in the texture folder and see if there is a thumbnail in it.

If not you may be able to do what I did and create a small (size IS limited) image (bitmap) using PaintBrush.
