Umm, in what context....? :-?

For sightseeing, VFR is obviously better.... ;D

I personally always download real world weather when I fly, so I usually fly in whatever weather is downloaded, and i file IFR flightplans if the weather is too poor...

I almost always fly general aviation aircraft, so it depends on the weather. On the rare chance that I fly a jet, i'll fly on an IFR flightplan

I always fly IFR in biz or commercial jets. When I fly smaller planes, I fly VFR. Unless conditions are bad.

8-)

Same here. And I always use Real World Weather as well. It's not a case of which is better, it's a matter of which is useful at the time.

Context is the key.. but even then, it's like asking, " What's better;  Traffic Laws, or Tax Laws ?"  It's apples and oranges..

...the funny thing is, although I can IFR Navigate perfectly well under IMC conditions, practically all my low level, GA Sim Flights are carried out under VRF conditions.

So if the weather is poor, I stay on the ground, in the comfort and safety of the FBO, and drink gallons of Coffee, until all the nasty stuff has passed over!...;)...!

Paul...FS 2004...FS Navigator...with poor visibility and low Cloud...and a big Coffee Mug.... ;)...!

.... ;D....!

...clouds are bl**dy dangerous!...trust me!..;)...!

the question could have been a little better phrased i think... as in: ' which do you like/fly the most?'

but, i replied to VFR, since i'm flying seat-of-the-pants most of the time... i'd like to do more IFR flying... but i'm afraid it requires too much of the free time i don't have right now :P

college is killing my piloting skills  ;)

Cheers

Are you talking about IFR flightplans, or actual Instrument meteorological conditions (IMC)?

Or.. more importantly..  Are you flying by the  R  in  IFR  ?

Using instruments to navigate, and filing IFR flight plans are just the tip of the iceberg.

IFR =  Instrument Flight Rules    ;)

Call me greedy but I like a bit of both ;)

VFR in my SF-260 or IFR in my CS 757.

All depending on mood and weather!
