So I messed up.............

Ok so I messed up I think. I wanted to start all of my free flights with a cold cock pit. So I have it set to where the entire aircraft is completely off at the beggining of a flight. I did that by downloading some file from a user on here. Now, I would like to get that setting off and return back to the old way when you start a flight and everything is 'on' on the plane.

Can anyone assist me with this please?

Fully start a plane. Then save the flight as the default flight. Should be all you need.

I wonder why someone made a download for the cold and dark cockpit anyway? Its so easy to do it yourself, and that way you know what you did and can reverse it if you want. So much nicer to understand why/how something happened instead having someone else do it for you and not understanding the process yourself.

Anyway, I hope this works for ya!

Avionics aren't on, some aircraft will have a switch others don't.  Go into your controls section under settings and assign a shortcut key to "Avionics Master Switch"  Once your in an aircraft use the shortcut you set up and your radios should work again.

8-)

default functionality aircraft (includes downloaded ones) are generally easy to start up from cold... basically the checklist is as follows:

Battery - ON
Avionics Power - ON

at this point everything in the cockpit should be lit and working... the engine startup procedure varies depending on the sort of aircraft...

for Props:

Mixture Lever - 100% rich
Magnetos - Start

for Jets:

Fuel Cutoff Switch - RUN
Engine Starters - START (one by one)

DC3:

Mixture - 100% Rich
Engine Selector - LEFT
Engine Starter - Start
Engine Selector - RIGHT
Engine Starter - Start

that's all i can remember now... but it should get pretty much any plane up and running...

another trick you can try, is, if you're having difficulty starting an aircraft, you can switch to a simpler plane such as the C182, and start 'er up... then switch back to the other aircraft and it'll load with it's engines on :)
this also works if you can't find a switch in an aircraft

Oh, just remembered... if all else fails... hit CTRL+E  ;)

Cheers
