What are the best settings for my system?

I've been experiencing a slow game lately...
My specs are:
nVidia 8600GS Dirext X 10
Pentium 4 3.0 GHz
2GB of RAM
Windows XP Media Center
Flight Simulator X Acceleration

Does anyone know what my settings should be, or if there is a dowloadable tool to tell me or ANYTHING...

And there is a program called AlacrityPC or something similar that may help in your performance. Google it.
