Flight Sim X Deluxe,questions

Postby neversommer » Mon Mar 02, 2009 11:44 pm

Hello all

Its been now a while since i last posted here something.I just got flight simx deluxe and have not followed the steps indicated.

I moved from 2004 to Flight Sim X Deluxe

I installed flight sim x, and then straight installed the expansion pack accelaration without a restart and started the game....I configured my graphic settings.. Mostly everything is pretty high since I got a quite powerful new laptop.

Now what I realized that there are certain steps such as restarting and defragging the computer(I just formatted my computer last week, due some vista issues) I am wondering if that will affect my performance in a negative way. The game itself runs nice and smooth in 1280x768 32bit but when it comes close to trees it seems to kinda like that there is some issues with the performance that the screen moves slower but the FPS still remains high.
Is defragging helping it or would I need to adjust the tree settings ?

Also is there A plane in flight sim x which actually flys almost into space ,except the space shuttle from captain sim? Ive got that one but i want an airplane with some nice details that actually flys very high into the sky?

Is there also a link which shows which graphic settings are needed cause when I am on the ground ,some objects to me look blurry like the ground textures from an airport in the missions.

My system:

Vista 32bit
4GB Ram
ATI HD 3750 (512mb Ram)Latest drivers
Core 2 Duo T9300

I really like the new version of the flight sim,the missions are really cool.

I downloaded some nice aircrafts but havent installed them yet as I am not sure if I might need to reinstall flight sim x and do it the proper way.

Would a defrag just now do a good job to it?

By default, FSX gets installed very fragmented!\

You should most definitely defragment your hard drive...

Better still, use Nick's tips and defrag using a more robust defragmentation tool, such as O&O.

For sure do what Fr. Bill suggest with Nick's tips. its a lot of steps, but if you do it exactly how it say too. it will help a lot.  it worked for me.

good luck with your issue.
