Plane under power at Flight Boot

I've installed FSX three times.  In each case, when I begin a Flight, the plane is under power- moving- when the flight boots.  I have to break to avoid hitting the building (Airport) in front of me at the gate.  What's set wrong????

This is what I suggest you do to solve this problem.
Open your FSX cfg file and look for the following line
SITUATION=C:\Documents and Settings\Gary Buska\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\JAX BASE
delete everything in the line from the= sign to the end of the line so the line looks like this;
SITUATION=C:
then save the file, this will force FSX to load the default flight.
Then all you need to do is to set up the flight you want and save making it the default flight. 8-)

Try calibrating your joystick, if you use one.

And make sure, the throttle is all the way back :)

open a flight, and set your parking break then save a new default flight.

No- aT is Off---But does FSX save the cockpit settings in the plane when you "End flight"  so that when you come back in its set the same as when you left????

I went through the same thing back then. What I did was just set the parking brakes as soon as the flight would boot. I was fine with that... Never even tried to fix it.

But now I have my own default flight set. The plane completely off in need of a cold start, with the parking brakes already set, so the plane cannot be moving at all... and it never is. This way, when you boot any flight with any plane in any location, it's never moving.

Wow!  Thank you, so very much for taking the time to explain that fully.
I appreciate it very much.  I'll do that.
