Hey everyone,

I just noticed that my default C172 textures have disappeared for some reason. The only thing I remember doing to the sim today was installing TrackIR4 and changing the default flight from the installation default to my own: KLNA, with the C172 completely shut down.

The weird thing is that when I open FSX, the C172 shows the textures, but as soon as I go somewhere and then go back to the "Free Flight" menu, the C172 is completely missing its outside textures. It's all black.

I tried running a repair from the DVDs, both the Deluxe DVDs and the Acceleration one. No luck.

Any ideas? Of course, any help would be highly appreciated.

Are they still in the aircraft's folder? And do they show up in game?

I did check in the aircraft folder and all the textures were there.

As a matter of fact, I just closed FSX and opened it back up and everything is fine now...

I guess these weird things just happen sometimes...  :-?...

I was afraid I'd have to do a full reinstall of FSX... again! Thankfully it doesn't seem I'll have to take that route (knock on wood!)

Not much help  ;D But I'm sure happy to hear you didn't have to go through the madness.

I dread the day I ever have to do a reinstall. :-/
