Propeller speeds not changing in FSX

I've searched the net trying to find some info on this problem, but i've not found anything.

The propellers are always turning at the same speed even when i throttle right back, or decrease prop rpm. It looks really fake!

In fs2004, you could see the props rotating at different speeds depending on the throttle position or the prop rpm setting.

All i see in fsx is a constantly fast spinning disc. If i shut down one engine, it even windmills at the same speed as the full power engine.

I take it this is a fault with just my installation and not a totally huge mistake by microsoft?

Keith.

I have never had that problem. Maybe it was fixed in SP1 or SP2? Try installing those. Maybe those will fix it. But in all honesty, I can't say I have had this problem.

Well, lets start with this...

What aircraft are we talking about here? Add-on or default?

I've seen my default change propeller speed, in fact I've even seen some that even visually change the pitch as well when you change the prop setting.

Mine changes.

I can also confirm the blades changee when I adjust the prop. settings, even if the engine is off.

I have seen some add-ons where the prob looks the same all the time, not many around but normally bad quality models that does that.

You'll only see that on variable-pitch props though ;)
