brake-functions FSX and FS2004

Hello all,

I ran into a problem which I do not know where to search for the solution.  :-/
I have two separate buttons assigned to the left brake apply and right brake apply function. Behind both functions I have set the repeat slider completely to the right, so it keeps repeating as long as pressed.

However, in both FSX as FS2004, only the left brake does function.
The right brake does not show any effect...  :-[
The buttons are recognized by both sims, so this cannot be the problem.

Somebody who noticed the same and knows how to solve it ?

Thanks in advance !  :)

Bram

Hi Gary (?),

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, in the sim itself was the first moment I noticed, because I did not at all expect things to go wrong at this point.
It seems as if the brake pressure of the right brake is by default set very low, zere actually.

Somebody who knows if this is a variable setting somewhere in the FSX.cfg file?

Bram,

Just experimented with assigning joy buttons to the differential brakes in both FS2004 and FSX and it seemed to work in both, though FSX was flakey at times .

Are you seeing the brake messages when pressing the buttons? You should see 'differential brakes' when pressing either button,

Are you using a Twist Joystick to control the Rudder?

In FS 2004 I always ensure I have this entry in the Aircraft.cfg file...>>>>

Differential brakes:

[brakes]
parking_brake = 1
