How to take a screenshot

Postby jsimsack » Tue Feb 17, 2009 10:20 am

Hi this probably sounds very stupid but I forgot how to take a screenshot! and I can't find out how to again.
I probably sound like an idiot now so I will shut up.

Hit Print Screen, then CTRL+V to an image editing program such as paint or photoshop  ;)

I was just about to point that out. FSX is the first version of MSFS to have a default multiple screenshot feature. The images will be saved in BMP format to your My Documents\My Pictures\Flight Simulator X Files folder.* Depending on your display resolution this folder can soon take up a lot of HDD space unless you empty it on a regular basis.

Alternatively, most of the multi-screengrab utilities should work just as well for FSX as for earlier versions of FS. Everyone seems to have their own favourite & there are plenty to choose from.

*Note this is in WinXP. I have no knowledge of Vista.
