I would like to know where or how I can find info to land and take off aircraft carriers. Do I need to download aircraft carriers? If so, how do I then choose the plane I want to fly? Please help. Thanks stacks. :-X

If you have Acceleration installed, there is a nice Hornet, and several tutorial missions on carrier operations.

For free flight, there is a cool little module that allows you to place carriers where you want, and control their distance, direction, speed, and heading.

If you haven't got Acceleration (like me) you can e.g. try the default carrier near San Francisco: start at SF Intl. and fly west towards the ocean (passing the Golden Gate Bridge) and you'll find a landable moving carrier for some first attempts.
But the default ones don't have arrester cables and catapults...  :'(

If you want to know how to fly the plane onto the carrier you should check out this excellent video: http://vimeo.com/2950519

Since I haven't got any add-on software for carrier-ops (I tried one but didn't get it working - wanna try out again now but don't have enough time) I can't tell - but the default carriers don't support cables/catapults... But I guess that a correct installed ArrestorCables 2.6 or anything like that would work in standart FSX!
