Well, first of all, I prefer to start a gate or parking spot, with all engines off. Half the fun of simming is on the ground IMO.

But that's just a preference...

Are you sure, you have enough fuel? If that's not the problem, load up a flight, get the engines running, then save, whilst checking the 'Save as default' box.

Welcome to SimV,

If you have saved a flight with the engines off, and designated it as your default flight, all new flights you create from the free flight menu will start with engines off regardless of the location.

If you don't want to go thru start up proceedures, just press to start the engines.

If you want all new flights to start with engines running, do as Anxyous suggested, saving a new default flight with engines running.

Thanks, I will try that...but I have had this auto thing for some time and I guess I have gotten lazy, I will certainly do as you suggest.

A huge thank you guys, that worked, I had deleted a livery of planes which I had set as default and not realizing that it was the one with engines running...once again thank you.
