FSX Crashes when pressing instruments

Postby clouds » Thu Jan 22, 2009 8:27 pm

Hi Guys does anybody know why my FSX crashes when I am sat in the cockpit and I go to say turn on the pitot heat the whole game freezes and the pc re-boots. The game itself works fine this only happens every now and then. I get decent fps using a radeon x1950pro card with a 3gz p4 processor i just dont understand it. I have even started to use alacritypc which closes all programs before the flight sim starts.
any ideas would be much appreciated
cheers :-/

You might be closing something that you should not close.  8-)

All Alacrity PC does in my experience, is shutting down explorer.exe, and not really anything else. I still had to shut down a lot of processes manually, before I started.

And I didn't really see any improvement :-/
