Crack the throttle open a bit, should keep enough gas flowing to keep it alive.

well in all other planes when i leave the throttle closed, the engine stays running. but for some reason this one turns off...

For years i was glad tempe had traffic issues with the sun devils and cardinals, now the good times are over, arggggg.

Thats a crowded side of town, I'm glad I'm on the far east by farmland.  ;D I'm a Sun Devil (though I am a converted Wildcat from Tucson :evil ) and Hate going to the Tempe campus and avoid it whenever I can. I'm just glad that the poly campus has all the aviation Degrees ;)

Anyway, all aircraft are different, some need the throttle open a bit to keep it alive and some don't.  Just have to find what works best.  I know I generally can't let the Cessna's idle but the 737 has no problems.  So it all depends on the aircraft's particular system.
